Texas Fish Art Contest
The Texas Fish Art Contest is open to all Texas students in grades K through 12. Only one entry per student per year. It is a 2D format only, with physical entries mailed to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center. Artwork is judged in four age categories (K-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12).
Physical artwork must be in landscape format, sized between 8x10” and 9x12”, and may not exceed ¼” in total thickness.
Art must include a fish species found wild in Texas and in a natural habitat. Goldfish, guppies, bettas, and koi fish are NOT eligible for the contest.
Physical artwork will be mailed to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center. Official entries must also be submitted through the online entry form.

Creative writing piece (Grades K-3 are not required to submit a creative writing piece.)

This program is part of Wildlife Forever’s national contest. Texas state winners will be automatically entered into the national contest.

City Problem Solvers
Heads up Scouts, and Scout Leaders, City Problem Solvers Inc., a registered 501c3 has started their annual City Wide Clean-Up campaign known as “the San Antonio Cleanup Countdown”, where each month they will be in a different district in San Antonio doing a cleanup which will create an opportunity for representatives and local residents of each district to come together and participate in the campaign in one way or another.
This is a great opportunity for any scouts, and scout leaders that would like to participate in working towards improving the health and well being of the city, and achieve some service project hours for whatever rank or merit that you are currently working towards.
We truly encourage you, and representatives from each district to get involved and help out with these worthy, and worthwhile cleanup campaign opportunities.
